Ángel Luis Aldana Valverde holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, with over three decades of experience in operational hydrology and hydraulic modeling. He has worked primarily at the Center for Hydrographic Studies of CEDEX , where he specialized in the development of automated hydrological information systems and flood forecasting . He has published an extensive bibliography of his works.
His work extends to various countries in Latin America, Eastern Europe and Africa, where he has collaborated on technical cooperation projects for organizations such as the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the World Bank .
Since 2005, Aldana Valverde has coordinated PROHIMET, the Ibero-American Network for the Monitoring and Forecasting of Hydrometeorological Phenomena , and has worked as a technical advisor for international associations such as the IAHR and the AME. His professional focus also includes institutional strengthening and capacity building in water management and natural disaster response. He currently works as an independent consultant on high-impact global projects.
Angel Luis is also an expert in computing and the development of technological projects for various applications in his field of engineering. His contributions to Sabio Valley include his experience throughout Latin America, global project management, training, and the development of the necessary technological tools in Sabio Valley.
